Stepan Buys Fermentation Plant

Move expands capabilities in the growing biosurfactant space.

Stepan Company has closed on the acquisition of a fermentation plant located in Lake Providence, Louisiana. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.   “Fermentation is a new platform technology for Stepan Company as we look to commercialize next generation surfactants.
